Farewell IN Arms

It actually happened. Today is the day I have been dreading for months. Today I had to say goodbye to my husband. He is being deployed to Iraq until July 2010. I have heard from many that "seven months isn't too bad" or "at least he's a only a dentist." Well, it's a long time to me. Keep him in your prayers, he certainly will be in mine.

Rebecca, are you staying in the DC area or do you get to move close to family? Do you get to skype? Brian leaves in May so were looking into all possible ways to stay in touch. GOOD LUCK!

oh, rebecca! thanks for your sacrifice. i know so many women who have to deal with the iraq deployment. you're such a strong woman that you'll do great and hopefully the boys will keep you busy enough that time will fly by. feel free to space A out to okinawa anytime :-) thinking of you.....

Becky,

Just last night as we were going to sleep Tim and I were trying to remember if Monday was your big day and I thought it was the 30th that he was leaving... anyway, you are definitely in our thoughts and prayers and send our love your way!

i'm sorry, that's so hard, especially since you have 3 boys to take care of. your strong and i know you'll make it thru. stay busy and focused on other things and remember it's not permanent... there will be a light at the end of the tunnel!

7 Months! I thought 6 weeks was hard (and I got to see Dusting most weekends). I realized that I could be a single mom if I had to be, but it was not fun and definitely not something I would wish on anyone. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck!

Oh Rebecca that's tough. I will keep you guys in my prayers. Are you able to get out of town for a few months at least to be by family?

Oh girl, you and he are in our prayers. I think that is a long time, with lots of big days. You will make it with your boys and make your marriage stronger

Rebecca!!! That is awful. I can't even imagine how hard that is going to be. I'm sure you'll do well and I will be praying Paul makes it back safely. Are you going to get to see your family while he's gone? Take care!

We will be thinking of you and your cute little family. Seven months sounds like a long time to me. Where will you and your children being living? will you move in with your parents? or stay in DC?
